Creating time to review the past year is not just interesting, it’s empowering and uplifting to realise that we achieved much more than we remember. Creating this article has become an essential part of our annual review. We do hope you enjoy—and get inspired by—the summary below.

The Coaching Industry 2024: A Summary of Trends, Insights, and the Future!

Looking back at 2024, the coaching industry saw remarkable growth, which is expected to surpass $7.3 billion by the end of 2025. Key trends shaping the industry include the integration of AI and digital tools, a rise in niche coaching (e.g., AI, resilience, wellness), and a strong focus on measurable ROI, with coaching delivering an average 7x return on investment. Emotional intelligence and mental well-being have increasingly become central to coaching (and much more explicitly so than in the past), especially for leadership development and Executive Programs. After COVID sent everyone online, hybrid coaching models, combining virtual and in-person sessions, have gained popularity, and corporate coaching became a strategic necessity for employee development and retention.

The future of coaching looks set to embrace further technological advancements like AI-powered coachbots and augmented and immersive reality (like VR but better), while also increasing the focus on sustainability and systemic coaching. To thrive in 2025, as coaches we must leverage technology, focus on creating and measuring results and continue to address emotional well-being alongside professional growth. Flexibility and adaptability will continue to be crucial in the evolving coaching landscape.

2024 in Review: Key Highlights and Exciting Changes at The Coaching Tools Company

2024 was a busy and impactful year for The Coaching Tools Company, marked by exciting changes and growth. In October, we were thrilled to announce that the company was acquired by The Guiding Matrix, a leader in business and coaching solutions. This partnership opened up new opportunities to expand our offerings and provide even more support to coaches around the world. You can read more about it here.

Under the leadership of Erwin de Grave and Dr. Steve Jeffs, we’ve been able to continue our mission of helping coaches build sustainable businesses while sharpening their coaching skills. We also launched a brand-new mentor program, The TCTC Mentor Program which offers access to Master Coaches and personalised guidance to coaches as they grow their practices.

While 2024 brought many changes, our commitment to providing high-quality tools, resources, and support to our community remained as strong as ever. We’re excited about the future and the new ways we’ll be able to support coaches at every stage of their journey. Thanks for being a part of this exciting chapter!

Dr. Steve Jeffs MCC, our Director of Coaching, brings deep expertise in organisational coaching, business transformation, and leadership development. For over 20 years, Steve has been coaching, training, supervising and mentoring clients from around the world. He is an ICF Master Coach and loves helping coaches step to the next level in what they are doing, who they are being and helping them to build thriving, sustainable businesses.
Erwin de Grave the new CEO of The Coaching Tools Company, is an experienced Business Coach & Consultant who speaks 5 languages! Erwin has worked globally with companies, large and small, and most recently has focused on entrepreneurs and business owners, helping them to grow and scale their businesses. While helping leaders, he is also busy growing his own portfolio of companies.
Marcus Diaz continued in his role as Communications & Social Media Manager. Which means he not only continues as our Social Media Coordinator, but Marcus also manages all our customer service email, helps us plan our content and with many other helpful projects! Thank-you Marcus 🙂
Emma Alexander, our Office Manager, has seamlessly taken on the administration, logistics, and key responsibilities previously handled by Emma-Louise.
